Summary
Bu araştırma; tane mısırda farklı şekil ve irilikteki tohumların su stresi koşullarında gösterdikleri performansların belirlenmesi amacıyla Konya Karapınar şartlarında 2 yıl süreyle (2011-2012) yürütülmüştür. Araştırma tesadüf bloklarında bölünmüş parseller deneme desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Denemede 6 farklı şekil ve iriliğe sahip (SR:küçük yuvarlak, SF:küçük yassı, MR:orta yuvarlak, MF:orta yassı, LR:büyük yuvarlak, LF:büyük yassı) tohum kullanılmış ve iki farklı (%100 tam sulama ve %70 sulama ) sulama konusu uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada tane verimi, bin tane ağırlığı ve koçanda tane ağırlığı, hektolitre ağırlığı ve bitki boyuna ait incelemeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın her 2 yılında da farklı dane irilik ve şeklinin tane verimi ve diğer özellikler açısından istatistiki olarak önemsiz çıktığı, su stresi konusunda ise tane verimi, bin tane ağırlığı ve koçanda tane ağırlığı ve hektolitre ağırlığı açısından istatistiki olarak önemli çıkarken, bitki boyu ise istatistiki olarak önemsiz çıkmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre tane mısırda farklı tane şekil ve iriliklerinin verim ve kontrol edilen diğer özellikleri etkilemediği görülmüştür.

Abstract
This research was carried out to determine the performance of maize seeds in different shape and size under restricted irrigation in Konya Karapınar for two years (2011-2012). The resarch was arranged in a randomized block split plot design. Under this study, 6 different shapes and sizes (SR:small-round, SF:small-flat, MR:medium-round, MF:medium-flat, LR:large-round, LF:large-flat) seeds were used and two different irrigation types (%100 full-irrigation and %70 irrigation ) were applied. In this study, grain yield, thousand kernel weight, kernel weight per ear, test weight and plant height were investigated. Kernel shape and size were not significant for grain yield and the other traits which are investigated for both years, whereas restricted irrigation was significant for grain yield, thousand kernel weight, kernel weight per ear and test weight, except plant height. According to the results, the grain yield and the other controlled traits were not affected by kernel shape and size.
