Summary
Araştırmanın amacı, biber fidelerinin gelişimi ve bitki besin maddesi içeriklerine değişik harç ortamlarının etkisinin tesbit edilmesi ve fide kalitesi bakımından en uygun fide yetiştirme ortamının saptanmasıdır. Araştırma 1994 yılında, tesadüf parselleri deneme desenine göre yüksek plastik tünelde yürütülmüş ve bitki olarak kandil biber çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Denemede her uygulama için standart olarak 4 birim çiftlik gübresi ve 2 birim bahçe toprağı kullanılmıştır. Konu olarak ise bu standart karışıma 0, 1/2, 1, 2, 3 ve 4 birim oranlarında perlit, beyaz pomza ve siyah pomza ilave edilmiştir. Standart besin maddesi olarak 1 m3 harç için saf olarak 300 g N, 600 g P205, 400 g K20, ve 100 g Mg uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; çıkış süresi, fide boyu, fide gövde çapı, gövde yaş ve kuru ağırlığı bakımından beyaz pomza uygulaması genel olarak birinci sırayı almış, yaprak sayısı ve kök kuru ağırlığı bakımından ise perlit uygulaması ilk sırada yer almıştır. Bitki besin kapsamları bakımından özellikle bitki K kapsamının beyaz pomza ve perlitte daha yüksek düzeyde olduğu görülmektedir. Karışım oranlarındaki artışa bağlı olarak bitki N,P,K kapsamları azalma göstermiştir.

Abstract
The main object of this research is to determine the effect of different plant growth mediums on the quality and nutrient content of pepper seedlings. The research was carried out during 1994 in high plastic tunnel with completely randomize design and kandil pepper variety was used. In this study, farm yard manure and soil were used at 4:2 ratios as a standard mixture for seedling bed. Perlit, white and black pumice stone were added to the above mixture in 0, 1/2, 1, 2, 3 and 4 ratios. In addition to this, 300 g N, 600 g P205, 400 g K20 and 100 g Mg were applied as a standart nutrient for 1 m3 mixture. According to the result of this research; the highest germination, length and size of seedlings, D.M.Y and stem fresh weight were obtained at the pumice stone treatment, whereas the increased number of leaf and D.M.Y of root were obtained at the perlit treatment. Especially, the highest plant K content was obtained at the pumice and perlit treatments. The N,P,K content of plant were decreased with increasing mixture ratios.
