Summary
Bu araştırma, farklı melez ve kompozit atdişi mısır çeşitlerinin Fı ve F2generasyonlarmda bazı özelliklerdeki değişmeleri incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma 1992 ve 1993 yıllarında Tokat-Kazova şartlarında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada bitki materyali olarak dokuz tekmelez, iki üçlü melez, bir çiftmelez ve iki kompozit çeşit kullanılmıştır. İncelenen özellikler bakımından çeşitler ve generasyonlar arasında önemli farklar bulunmuştur. F2 generasyonunda bitki boyu, koçan boyu, koçan çapı ve tane/koçan oranı önemli ölçüde azalırken, tepe püskülü çıkarma süresi uzamıştır. İlk koçan yüksekliği tek, üçlü ve çiftmelez çeşitlerde azalmış, kompozit çeşitlerde ise artmıştır. İncelenen özelliklerin generasyonlar arasındaki değişimi melez çeşitlerde sentetiklerden daha fazla olmuştur.

Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the changes on some characters in the Fi and F2 generations of dent corn hybrid and composite varieties. The study was carried out during 1992 and 1993 in Tokat-Kazova region. Nine single crosses, two three way crosses, one double cross and two composites varieties were used as a material in the trail. Significant differences were found among the varieties and generations for all studied characters. Tasseling period increased, while plant height, ear lenght, ear diameter and grain/ear ratio decreased significantly in the F2 generation. On the other hand first ear height reduced in the F2 generation of single, three way and double hybrid, while it increased in that of composite varieties. Variation of studied characters between generations were found higher in hybrid varieties than composite ones.
