Summary
Dünya nüfusunun ve insan gereksinimlerinin giderek artması, günümüz toplumsal yaşam tarzlarının gereklilikleri varolan kaynakların zaman içinde tükenmesine ve gıda maddelerinin üretiminin artmasına yol açmaktadır. Buna bağlı olarak azalan kaynaklar üzerindeki üretimin artırılması süt sığırı işletmelerinde olduğu gibi birim alanda daha fazla üretim yapılmasına olanak sağlayan yoğun yetiştiricilik sistemlerinin yaygınlaşmasına neden olmuştur. Bunların sonucunda birçok çevresel problem ortaya çıkmış olup iklim değişiklikleri ve küresel ısınma bunlardan birisidir. Küresel ısınma; atmosfere salınan başlıca gazların neden olduğu düşünülen sera etkisi sonucunda dünya üzerinde yıl boyunca kara, deniz ve havada ölçülen ortalama sıcaklıklarda görülen artışa verilen isimdir. Yoğun yetiştiricilik sistemlerini kullanan süt sığırı işletmeleri küresel ısınmaya neden olan gazların (karbondioksit (CO2 ) ve metan (CH4)) önemli bir kaynağıdır. İnsanların faaliyetlerinde, üretim ve tüketim çıktılarını net bir şekilde görebilmeleri karbon ayak izi kavramını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Karbon ayak izi; birim CO2 cinsinden üretilen sera gazı miktarı açısından insan faaliyetlerinin çevreye verdiği zararın ölçüsüdür. Süt sığırcılığında olduğu gibi diğer bütün endüstriyel üretimlerin karbon ayak izi hesaplamalarında kullanılan en yaygın yöntem, Hükümetlerarası İklim Değişikliği Paneli (IPCC) tarafından geliştirilen Tier 1-2-3 yaklaşımlarıdır. Bu çalışmada Bursa bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren bir süt sığırı işletmesinin karbon ayak izi Tier 1 yöntemine göre hesaplanarak küresel ısınmaya katkısı belirlenmiştir.

Abstract
Increasing world population and human needs, the necessities of today's social lifestyles lead to the depletion of existing resources over time and the increase of the production of foodstuffs. As a result, increasing production on decreasing resources has led to widespread use of intensive aquaculture systems, which allow for more production in the unit area as well as in milk-based operations. The end result is that many environmental problems have arisen and climate change and global warming are one of them. Global warming; Is the name given to the increase in average temperatures measured in land, sea and air throughout the year as a result of the greenhouse effect, which is thought to be the main gas released to the atmosphere. Dairy cattle operations using intensive aquaculture systems are an important source of global warming gases. Carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) are the leading gases of greenhouse effect. The ability to see clearly the output of production and consumption in people's activities reveals the concept of carbon footprint. For this reason, the concept of carbon footprint has become very popular in recent years. Carbon footprint; Is a measure of the damage that human activities cause to the environment in terms of the amount of greenhouse gas produced as a unit of carbon dioxide. In order to determine greenhouse gas concentration values, a wide range of fleet calculation methods have been developed, from simple online calculators to advanced life cycle circles and input-output based methods. The most common method used in carbon footprint calculations of all other industrial crops, such as in dairy cattle, is the Tier 1-2-3 approach developed by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In this study, carbon footprint of a dairy cattle operations in Bursa region was calculated using Tier 1 method to determine global warming potential.
