Summary
Yumurta, insan beslenmesinde önemli yeri olan hayvansal protein içeren önemli bir besin kaynağıdır. Her gelir düzeyinden insanın kolayca temin edebileceği bir üründür. Bu çalışma tüketicilerin yumurta tüketim tercihlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Uşak ilinde farklı gelir grubundan 384 tüketiciyle yapılan anketle elde edilen veriler çalışmanın ana materyalini oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu ve Yumurta Üreticileri Merkez Birliğinden elde edilen istatistiki veriler ve önceden yapılan konu ile ilgili çalışmalarla desteklenmiştir. Verileriler analiz edilirken, önce frekans tabloları oluşturularak yüzde hesaplamaları kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, tüketicilerin gelir düzeyleri ile bazı değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenirken Ki-kare (?2) bağımsızlık testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulardan çıkan sonuçlara göre; Uşak ilinde tüketilen yumurta miktarı Türkiye ortalamasının altındadır. Tüketicilerin büyük bir kısmı çiftlik yumurtası tercih etmektedir. Tükettikleri yumurtanın ağırlığı 53-72 gr arasında değişmektedir. Yumurta tüketim tercihinde kalite, fiyat ve damak zevki, imal tarihi, üretici firma, ambalaj ve reklam önemli faktörlerdir. Ayrıca tüketicilerin önemli bir kısmı kafes dışında gezen tavuklardan elde edilen yumurtaları almak için ek ödeme yapmaya gönüllüdür.

Abstract
Egg is an important source of animal protein in the human diet. It is a product that people can easily obtain from every income level. This study was conducted in order to determine consumers' egg consumption preferences. In this context, the data obtained with the questionnaire made by 384 consumers in different income groups in Uşak province constitute the main material of the study. The study is based on statistical data obtained from Turkstat and Egg Producers Association and supported by previous studies. When the data are analyzed, first, frequency tables are created and percentage calculations are used. In addition, Chi-square (?2) independence test was used when the relationship between income levels of consumers and some variables were examined. According to the results obtained from the findings. The amount of eggs consumed in Uşak province is below the average in Turkey. A large portion of consumers prefer farmland eggs. The weight of the egg consumed ranges from 53 to 72 gr. Egg consumption preference quality, price and taste taste, date of manufacture, producer company, packaging and advertising are important factors. In addition, a significant portion of consumers are willing to pay extra to buy eggs from chickens that roam outside the cage.
