Summary
Bu araştırmada, anaç ıslah programı kapsamında geliştirilen ümitvar hibrit bal kabağı anaç adaylarının aşılı hıyar yetiştiriciliğinde meyve kalitesi ve verim unsurları üzerine olan etkilerinin ayrıntılı olarak belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Denemede, anaç ıslahı projesi kapsamında geliştirilen tür içi bal kabağı melezlerinden elde edilen on adet yerli hibrit anaç adayı ile TZ148 ve RS841 ticari anaç çeşitleri kullanılmıştır. Tüm anaçlar, Gordion ve Sardes hıyar çeşidi ile aşılanmıştır. Aşısız Gordion ve Sardes çeşitleri ise kontrol uygulaması olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bal kabağı anaç adaylarının, aşılı hıyar yetiştiriciliğinde meyve kalitesi ve verim unsurları üzerine etkilerinin belirlenebilmesi amacıyla; meyve boyu, meyve çapı, meyve şekil indeksi, meyve eti sertliği, suda çözünebilir kuru madde miktarı, titre edilebilir asitlik miktarı, ortalama meyve ağırlığı, ortalama meyve sayısı ile erkenci ve toplam verim özellikleri incelenmiştir. İncelenen anaç/kalem kombinasyonlarında; meyve boyunun 16.68 cm-20.47 cm, meyve çapının 28.20 mm-38.11 mm, meyve eti sertliğinin 3.91 kg/cm2-4.82 kg/cm2, titre edilebilir asitliğin 1.01 mval/100ml-1.22 mval/100ml arasında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan istatistik analiz sonucunda; dekara toplam verim miktarı yönünden anaç/Sardes kombinasyonlarında özellikle RS17 ile RS8 nolu anaçların; anaç/Gordion kombinasyonlarında ise RS17 ile RS9 nolu anaçları öne çıktığı saptanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, bu yerli bal kabağı anaç adaylarının ticari anaçlarla hemen hemen aynı veya daha yüksek potansiyele sahip olduğunun belirlenmesi, aşılı hıyar fidesi üretiminde ticari anaç olarak kullanılabileceklerini göstermektedir.

Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effects of promising rootstock candidates on fruit quality and yield components in grafted cucumber cultivation. 10 local rootstock candidates, obtained from intraspecific pumpkin hybrids that has developed by rootstock breeding project and TZ 148 and RS 841 commercial rootstocks were used in the study. The rootstocks were grafted with Gordion and Sardes cucumber cultivars. Ungrafted Gordion and Sardes cultivars were evaluated as control. In order to determine the effect of rootstocks on cucumber fruit quality and yield components; fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit shape index, fruit firmness, soluble solids content, the titratable acidity, mean fruit weight, mean fruit number, early and total yield parameters were examined. In the study, depending on different rootstock/scion combinations, it was determined that the fruit length was 16.68 cm-20.47 cm, the fruit diameter was 28.20 mm-38.11 mm, the fruit firmness was 3.91 kg/cm2-4.82 kg/cm2, the titratable acidity was 1.01 mval/100ml-1.22 mVal/100ml. As a result of this research; it was determined that in terms of total yield values per dekar, RS17 and RS8 rootstocks in rootstock/Sardes combinations and RS17 and RS9 rootstocks in rootstock/Gordion combinations were similar or better compared to commercial rootstocks. The results showed that these selected pumpkin rootstock candidates can be used as commercial rootstock for the grafted cucumber seedling production.
