Summary
Rhizoctonia solani Kühn (AG-3), patateste gövde kanseri ve siyah kabukluluk olarak adlandırılan hastalığa neden olan önemli bir fungal patojendir. Patojen Tokat İlinde patates üretimini olumsuz yönde etkilemektedir. Çalışma, patateste siyah kabukluluk olarak adlandırılan hastalığa neden olan R. solani’ye karşı 12’si yerel, 16’sı tescilli olmak üzere toplam 28 adet patates çeşidinin reaksiyonlarını belirlemek amacıyla 2003- 2004 yıllarında Tokat-Kazova koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre, Jaerla, Moreno ve Batum patates çeşitlerinde siyah kabukluluk oranı sırasıyla %37.9, 30.3 ve 29.7 ile diğer çeşitlere göre önemli düzeyde yüksek bulunurken Aybasti Beyazı, Agria, Trabzon Yaylabaşı ve Gürgentepe Sarısı çeşitlerinde sırasıyla %0.2, 1, 1.4 ve 1.5 olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan diğer çeşitlerde ise hastalık oranı % 2.4 ile %16 arasında değişmektedir. Bu çalışmada elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda özellikle hastalığa dayanıklılık gösteren çeşitlerin hastalığın sorun olduğu yerlerde üretilmesi ve yapılacak ıslah çalışmalarında R. solani’ye karşı dayanıklılık için gen kaynağı olarak kullanılmaları önerilebilir.

Abstract
Rhizoctonia solani Kühn the causal agent of stem canker and black scurf diseases is an important pathogen of potato. This study was conducted to determine the reaction of 28 local and commercial potato cultivars against black scurf disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani Kühn under field conditions during 2003-2004. Based on the results; cultivars Jaerla, Moreno and Batum had significantly higher black scurf rate (37.9, 30.3 and 29.7 %, respectively) compared to the other cultivars tested, while black scurf rate of the cultivars Aybastı Beyazı, Agria, Trabzon Yaylabaşı, and Gürgentepe Sarısı were 0.2, 1.0, 1.4, and 1.5% respectively. Blac scurf rates of the other cultivars were between 2.4 % and 16 %. Results of this study may help build genetic resources to be used for breeding programs to obtain cultivars resistant to black scurf.
