Summary
Bu araştırma, Kastamonu ilinde doğal olarak yetişen ve anaçlık özelliği iyi olan bazı kuş kirazı tiplerinin çimlenme özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla 2007-2008 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Materyal olarak, Devrekani ilçesi Kızacık ve Kuz köylerinden temin edilen 4 tip ile Bozkurt ilçesi Esentepe köyünden temin edilen 3 tipe ait tohumlar kullanılmıştır. Tohumlar, canlılık testi sonrası GA3’in, 0 (kontrol), 500, 1000 ve 1500 ppm dozlarında, 24 saat süreyle bekletilmiş ve katlama ortamına konulmuştur. Tohumlar, katlama ortamından 60., 75., 90., 105. ve 120. günlerde çıkartılarak, çimlendirme ortamına alınmış ve çimlenme özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre değişik GA3 dozlarının, çimlenme özelliklerine etkisinin, katlama süresi ve tiplere göre değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. En yüksek çimlenme oranı, Tip-E’de 1000 ppm GA3 uygulandıktan sonra 105 gün katlama sonrası % 90 olarak saptanmıştır. Bütün tiplerde çimlenmenin en erken 2. günden itibaren başladığı ve Tip-E dışında 8. günden sonra hiç çimlenme gerçekleşmediği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre çalışılan tiplerde genel olarak 1000 ppm GA3 çözeltisinde 24 saat beklettikten sonra 105 gün boyunca +4°C’de katlama uygulamasının tavsiye edilebileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Abstract
This research was carried out in 2007 and 2008 to determine of the germination characteristics of seven wild cherry genotypes naturally grown in Kastamonu region, which have good capability as rootstock. Four of these genotypes used in the study were obtained from Kızacık and Kuz villages in Devrekani and three of them were collected from Esentepe village in Bozkurt. The seeds were treated with 0, 500, 1 000 and 1 500 ppm doses of GA3 for 24 hours and transferred on stratification media after viability tests. Seeds were taken from stratification media on 60th, 75th, 90th, 105th and 120th days and transferred the germination media. Effect of different GA3 doses on germination capacity were also varied by the stratification period and genotypes. The highest germination rate was obtained from the seeds of Genotype-E that treated 1 000 ppm GA3 + 105 days stratification (% 90,00). The dose of 1000 ppm GA3 application and 105 days of stratification period were advisable. In all genotypes, the earliest germination began at 2nd day and no germination was obtained after 8th day except type-E.
