Abstract
Effect of Entomopathogenic Nematodes and Mutualistic Bacteria of Root-Knot Nematode (Meloidogyne javanica) on Greenhouse Tomato
In this study, the effects of four entomopathogenic nematode species (EPNs) (Steinernema carpocapsae, S. feltiae, S. glaseri and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) and the supernatants of their symbiotic bacteria (Xenorhabdus bovienii and Photorhabdus luminescens kayaii) were evaluated on second stage juveniles (J2s) of RKN (Meloidogyne javanica). Data were recorded included total number of egg masses for each plant, plant height (cm), fresh and dry weight of the plant shoots and roots (g). S. feltiae (aqueous suspensions and infected insect cadavers) and X. bovienii have been found to be effective.
