Abstract
A Research on Herbage Yield and Quality of Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum graecum L.) Under Tokat Ecological Conditions
This study was conducted under the ecological conditions of Tokat in the winters and summers of 1995/96 and 1996/97 years. In this research, the fenugreek seeds were obtained from the Department of the Field Crops of Agricultural Faculty of Gaziosmanpaşa University. Fenugreek seeds are population characteristic and originated from Konya.
According to the average of two-year results, plant heights were 59.53-41.67 cm, green herbage yields were 1728.10-1006.77 kg/da, dried herbage yields were 472.41-255.24 kg/da, dried herbage rates were 23.87-26.37 %, biological yields were 690.41-453.82 kg/da and crude protein rates in dried herbage were 14.50-19.81 % in winter and summer growing season, respectively.
