Investment Analysis in the Fruit Plantations (A Case Study of Central District of Tokat Peach Orchards)
This study covers farms growing peach in central district of Tokat. In the peach orchards investment analysis, the criteria of Net Present Value, Cost-Benefit Ratio and Internal Rate of Return were used. And three different discount rates (10%, 8% and 5%) were considered to reach to the net present values and cost-benefit ratios. In the study, net present values calculated with respect to the three different discount rates were found out positive (124 121 782 TL/da , 186 174 571 TL/da, 318 357 611 TL/da) related to the peach orchards invesment. Besides, with respect to the each of three discount rates, it was determined that cost-benefit ratios were bigger than one (1.20, 1.27 and 1.37). Internal R.ate of Return was calculated as 17.11 percentage. In the light of findings obtained from the study, it was determined that the invesment made to the peach orchards in the farms investigated is economically feasible.
