Phsical, Chemical, Morphological Properties and Classification of Eşmekaya Organic Soils
In this study the macromorphological, physical and chemical properties of organic soils of Eşmekaya Town located between Konya and Aksaray provinces and covering approximatly 1692,6 ha were determined. According to the results, organic material accumulation was affected by topographic, hydrologic factors, and formed on flat area. Therefore, the study area has the properties of basin organic soils. In addition, negative human impacts were observed on formation of organic soils in study area. Four soil profiles were located and excavated in study area. According to soil taxonomy, these profiles were classified as Typic Torrifluvent, Typic Haplofibrist, Typic Haplohemist and Sapric Haplohemist, respectively.
