Structural Analysis ofan Orchard Harvest Platform’s Scissors Lift Arms in Computer Environment
Orchard platforms are provided to reach highest crown of the fruit trees. For this purpose, primarily a three-dimensional model of the orchard platform was designed in a computer environment and produced. Estimated maximum forces were determined scissors lift arms of the designed model. The designed model was analyzed using ANSYS 15.0 with finite element method. Selected two different sizes of rectangular profile for scissors lift arms; total deformation, strain, durability and safety factor values are determined. According to analysis results, profile size selected acceptable for life and stress values of the merge region of the scissors lift arms. This size of rectangular profile is used for scissor lift arms in the manufacture of prototype.
